Do I really need a professional headshot?
Yes! If you have an online presence, you need a headshot. It’s no longer just about your years of experience and references; companies want to get to know the face behind the resume. A professional headshot can communicate your confidence, expertise, and enthusiasm to potential employers, customers, and business partners.
Professional headshots are essential for anyone hoping to grow their career, expand their network, and ace the interview. According to LinkedIn research, a professionally done headshot virtually doubles your chance of being hired or winning clients.
Give yourself a leg up over the competition and show businesses that you go above and beyond with your Denver professional headshot.
What should I wear?
Your professional headshot is all about showcasing who you are, so I advise clients to choose outfits that aren’t too busy. Complex patterns don’t always show up well on camera and can steal the attention from you. I recommend dressing in solid colors to ensure that you remain the focus of the shoot.
You will also want to consider your background colors. A white shirt on a white background, for example, may strain the eye. Pick a color that will stand out against your chosen background. If you want to see what backgrounds are available, you can check them out here.
Lastly, I want you to feel your best! So picking out an outfit that makes you feel confident is key. Having trouble deciding? You can bring a few choices to the studio and I’ll help you pick options that work best with the camera.
I am uncomfortable in front of the camera. How do you handle this?
You are not alone. Most people don’t love being photographed, and the headshot process can seem daunting. That’s where I come in. I’ve spent years working with subjects, and I know how to help you relax and loosen up around the camera.
Many clients tell me that they just don’t know what to do when they get in front of a camera. I’m there to coach you every step of the way. I can work with lighting and positioning to make sure your headshot experience is worry-free and, dare I say it, fun!
I have a group of people that need a headshot - can I schedule a group?
Absolutely! There are a few different options for groups:
Your group can come into the studio for a joint session. This option is the most economical and efficient way to capture multiple headshots at a time.
Each person can book an individual session with me. This option can be more convenient if your group is unable to find a time that works for everyone.
Lastly, I can travel to your group. With the mobile studio, groups can get all of their headshots done together at an agreed-upon location. This is the most convenient option, especially for groups larger than 10 people.
How and what will actually be delivered?
I’ll email you a secure link where you can immediately download your image files. I’ll provide both high-resolution images for printing (flyers, marketing collateral, etc.) and a low-resolution file for digital use.
How long does it take to receive my images?
You will receive a digital copy of your unedited proofs within 24 hours after the shoot. After you’ve chosen your final images, you will receive a file of your retouched headshots within 72 hours.
If you need a rush order, contact me directly and we can discuss your needs.
Are the final headshot images retouched?
Yes. While it’s my goal to make sure your photos look like they haven’t been edited at all, I go through each of your selected shots to do natural retouching. This includes skin softening, removing stray hairs and skin blemishes, diminishing bags under eyes, brightening eyes, and teeth whitening.
What backgrounds can I choose from?
You can find all of our studio background options here. If you are looking for a specific color, please let us know and we can try to accommodate your needs.
Do you only shoot headshots?
No! I’ve worked with musicians, artists, creative professionals, and everyone in between to bring their vision to life.
I love collaborating with clients on their portrait/personal branding shoots. In these sessions, we can get creative with lighting, location, and effects to convey your personal brand messaging.
